NXP LPC2138 Based Embedded Application Module

Proto Board meant for the LPC2138 EAM.

One Proto Board comes along with EAM board to study and interface the user defined external modules. This Proto Board has two 50 Pin FRC headers, to mount the EAM board on the Proto Board. A proto area is available for assembling user interface modules. In addition, one dual voltage regulator circuit and one single voltage regulator circuit is available on this Proto Board to generate three user defined supply voltages.

Both regulating circuits accept either DC or AC input supply. AC/DC input for dual voltage regulator is given through Proto Board connector CON1. Enable AC/DC selection jumper depending upon the input voltage. Diodes D1, D2 and Capacitors C1, C6 form filter circuit to filter the input supply voltage. Regulator IC U1 generate positive supply V1 and regulator IC U2 generates negative supply V2. LED1 and LED2 indicates presence of supply voltages V1 and V2 respectively.

AC/DC Supply for single voltage regulator is given through connector CON2. Diode D3 and Capacitor C7 filters the input supply. Regulator IC U3 regulates input supply and provides regulated supply voltage V3. LED3 indicates presence of V3.

You can use these regulated supply voltages V1, V2 and V3 to power external interface modules. And also you can provide power to EAM board.
